„PROMOTION OF RESEARCH, EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION „IMPLEMENTATION PROGRAMME No. „J05-LVLA-K INTELLIGENCE. JOINT RESEARCH - BUSINESS PROJECTS“
IN JUNE 2018, JSC “EKONAMAI” STARTED TO IMPLEMENT THE PROJECT UNDER THE PROGRAMME “PROMOTING RESEARCH, EXPERIMENTAL DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION” (PROJECT J05-LVLA-K “INTELLIGENCE, JOINT SCIENCE – BUSINESS PROJECTS ), CO-FINANCED BY THE EU STRUCTURAL FUNDS AND THE STATE BUDGET OF THE REPUBLIC OF LITHUANIA UNDER THE R&D PROGRAMME “INTELLIGENCE”.
Programme: R&D “INTELLIGENCE”
Project implementation period: June 2018 – 30th of June 2021.
The aim of the project: is to research creating new material with an innovative organic binder (using different compositions of microorganisms such as pseudomonas strain compositions, etc.) and energy efficient, sustainable bio-modular house wall and roof construction solutions.
To contribute to the European Union’s goal to reduce CO2 emission, JSC “Ekonamai” aims to create new construction bio-modules and innovative construction solutions with the help of biotechnologies bound based on organic materials, building composite, which would become a substitute for concrete, would be maximally energy-efficient, sustainable and would have exceptional properties – lightness, resistance to the influence of external factors, high strength, high thermal resistance. New solutions will significantly reduce the construction time of individual modular houses, 50% lower CO2 emissions, 20% lower production costs, 10% better thermal insulation properties (compared to other biomass-based building materials), 20% higher compressive strength and innovative composition - 90 % of materials will contain rapidly regenerating natural materials (biomass, microorganisms).
By creating innovative construction solutions for bio-modular house walls and roofing panels for innovative bio-composite foundations, these products can be purchased for both the construction markets and end-users. Target emerging products group - real estate developers, contractors, end-users who are interested in a healthy indoor climate, energy efficiency and home construction speed and cost. The application of structural solutions for the walls and roof of a bio modular house will reduce heating and air conditioning costs.
